Matte or Glossy Sealer for your Stained Concrete Floor?

I know there are so many decisions to make while building your home or remodeling your space. We just finished a bathroom remodel and I have to tell you, it took me three weeks and endless trips to the paint store just to pick the paint. The most expensive items, like the bathtub, I pick in an instant. The paint three weeks. So I understand the frustration when we ask you all these questions about your stained concrete floor. But each step is just as important for the final look. And in some instances the choice isn’t even yours, it is made in the material chosen earlier in the process. So it is very important to make sure you know what the final look you want is and that it is communicated to us.

A Matte finish is a subtle finish, a more natural look and a warmer look. The disadvantage is that this floor cannot be maintained with an acrylic floor sealer (only comes in high gloss) so it will need to be resealed periodically depending on your wear patterns.

A Glossy finish is a wet look, light reflective and a more polished or sophisticated look. This floor needs to be maintained regularly with an acrylic floor finish to protect the sealer.
